TELL HARRIS TEETER: THIS CRUELTY IS WRONG

Supermarkets like Harris Teeter count on customer loyalty. It's time to make that loyalty count for animals.

Every time a customer swipes their “VIC” (Very Important Customer) card, Harris Teeter counts on their loyalty. It's time to make sure the company knows that loyalty goes both ways—and they need to keep their promise for animals.

Harris Teeter is owned by Kroger, one of America's most powerful supermarket companies. In 2016, Kroger publicly promised to spare hens from extreme confinement and set its own deadline: 2025.

Here we are in 2026, and hens are still in cages.

Hens living in cages can't dustbathe, forage, or fully spread their wings. Wire bars rub their bodies raw. This is what part of Kroger's supply chain looks like—a full decade after it promised to change.

Every message sent to Harris Teeter leadership makes clear that its “Very Important Customers” won't accept cruelty as a company value. Will you add your voice now?
