KROGER IS FAILING ANIMALS

KROGER IS FAILING ANIMALS

It promised to stop caging hens. It lied.

Kroger is one of America’s most powerful supermarket companies.

In 2016, Kroger made a public commitment to spare hens from extreme suffering in cage confinement. It set its own deadline to end cages by 2025.

It’s 2026, and hens are still in cages.

Hens living in cages can’t dustbathe, forage, or fully spread their wings. Most lose feathers. The wire bars rub their bodies raw. This is what Kroger’s supply chain looks like—ten years after it promised to change.

Greg Foran became Kroger’s CEO in February 2026. He has said he wants to “take good care of customers” and “focus on the fundamentals.” He also has a potential compensation “upwards of $17 million.”

Kroger has the money and the means to put an end to the nightmare it created for animals across its 2,700 stores. Sowhywon’tit?

Every message sent to Kroger’s leadership tells them the solution to this problem is long overdue. This is on them. Hens have been waiting long enough.

MAKE KROGER CARE

No animal deserves cruelty. 💔 Demand better from a company that gave its word to end the extreme confinement of hens.

Your message will be sent directly to CEO Greg Foran and other decision-makers at Kroger.
